Sort, Shop & Style

My Sort, Shop & Style service has been known to be transformational, making women feel connected with their style and excited to get dressed each morning.  All three steps are necessary here – each one builds on the rest to create the most stunning results .

STEP 1

It starts with an in-home consultation, where I will get to know you and assess your current wardrobe.  Together will decide what to keep, what needs alterations, what to donate and what we need to shop for.

STEP 2

Next, I will go out and pre-shop for you, based on your budget and the needs.  Here’s where it gets really good… all you’ll have to do is simply show up to the dressing room filled with specific items I hand picked for you based on your body, style and needs.

STEP 3

Following your shopping trip, we’ll come back to your home to blend your new wardrobe items with your old favorites and show you how to accessorize each look with panache. Digital photos will help you remember the new looks and make getting dressed a breeze.

STEP 4

When it’s all said and done,  you will feel confident and excited knowing you have amazing outfits you can throw on and look incredible!  We leave you with digital photos to make remembering the new looks and getting dressed a breeze.

The experience I had with Priya today completely exceeded my expectations. I did cry a bit when I got home … because I was so happy and relieved that even in this new “mid-life” body, I finally feel stylish and confident. I usually hate clothes shopping, but today was fun!  No question I’ll be calling on Privee by Priya again for help.

FAQ's

But Wait... You might be wondering why can't I just do a Sort and not a Shop? Or, just a Style?

Here is why: My experience with numerous clients has taught me that all of the elements are necessary. If all I do is a Sort, you may be left with a diminished closet and no real plan for acquiring the missing pieces. If we do nothing but Shop, you miss out on all the amazing outfits I can help you create with those new items and old favorites. Through the Sort, Shop & Style, you will enter your closet each morning and know that it's only filled with things you love and look great on you.

I like to shop at discount stores like Nordstrom Rack and Marshalls? Do you take clients there?

I do not.  While I like a good sale myself, I find it difficult to do a full shopping trip for a client at these locations. Sizes are tough to find for starters.  However, I do an excellent job at finding items on sale at regular retailers. In fact, I try to help my clients save as much money as possible by searching through these discount racks first.

Money and/or time is not important to me. I just want an enjoyable experience and beautiful clothing. Do you do that?

Avec grand plaisir.  I have established wonderful relationships with retailers around my area. I am able to get the best fittings rooms for my clients, snacks and water, and an experienced sales associate to pull sizes if need be.  In addition, Bloomingdales offers my clients free lunches at 40 Carrots.

How much money should I expect to spend on the clothing and accessories?

I am happy to work with a budget but if a client truly wants to make a difference in their style then $2000 is a good place to start.

I am on a tight budget and would like to spend less than $1000 for a wardrobe makeover. Do you work with budget conscious shoppers?

Absolutely, but staying within this budget is easier for a repeat client or for someone who is really looking for key additions to their closet.

How long is our shopping trip when I go shopping with you?

I spend 1-hour pre-shopping for the client, which includes a carefully curated selection of items. Our time together is usually 1.5-2.5 hours.

How many stores do we go to?

If we do a department store then most times just 1. But if I determine that we need to shop in specialty stores then I would say 2 to 3.

Where do you like to take clients shopping?

At a place they find convenient.  If they do not specify a location then we typically go to a mall in the local area.

Do you make commission on the purchases I make at the stores you take me to? How does it work when you shop for me?

I do not make a commission.  Hence I have no agenda to push items at you. Unlike a store sales associate who needs the commission and has no idea of your existing closet or your needs.

I don’t need a lot of advice. I just want someone to get my shopping done for me. Is that something you do?

My working clients prefer email, texts and sometimes just give me a budget. I shop and personally deliver the items to their doorstep.

Can you teach me how to dress so I won’t need you every time I go shopping?

Possibly the best part of my job. Yes! We talk a lot about styling tips and hacks. We take pictures and over time it becomes second nature.  I am happy to answer style-related SOS emails and texts for my clients.
